Give AI agents a budget they can't blow
Everyone is racing to let agents buy things. Hoppier solves the other half: agents that send money to people - rewards, incentives, lunches, research payouts - inside guardrails you set. Not an open credit card. An allowance.
Agents need allowances, not credit cards
Trust in agentic payments is earned in stages. Nobody hands an agent unrestricted spending on day one; they start with tight limits and widen them as the agent proves itself. That is exactly what a Hoppier card is: a self-enforcing budget with merchant restrictions, a time window, and a cap - where anything unspent comes back to you. The guardrails live on the money itself, so they hold even when a prompt goes sideways.
Spend controls agents can't talk their way around
Merchant restrictions
Scope a card to food, wellness, learning, or a custom vendor list. An agent can send lunch money that only buys lunch.
Spend windows
Set an expiry or a valid-from window. Budget for the event exists during the event, then closes itself.
Amount caps
Every card carries its own balance. The agent's blast radius is exactly the amount you approved, per person.
Unspent funds return
On Hoppier Plus, 100% of what recipients don't spend comes back to your balance. Across our platform, 37% of gift value goes unspent - with an agent in the loop, that money isn't lost.
Full audit trail
Every program, card, and top-up is visible in the dashboard: who was paid, how much, what's been claimed, what came back.
Your login, your permission
Agents act through your authenticated Hoppier account via MCP or the API. Nothing moves without an account you control.
How it works
Connect an agent
Add the Hoppier MCP to Claude or ChatGPT in about two minutes, or integrate the REST API from your own software.
Set the guardrails
Budget per person, allowed merchants, expiry window. The rules live on the card, not in the agent's prompt.
Let it run
The agent creates programs, adds recipients, and sends top-ups on triggers you define: a closed deal, a work anniversary, a finished survey.
Recipients pick from 3,000+ gift card brands or a prepaid Visa, in 60+ countries and their local currency. See pricing for plans.
Agentic payments FAQ
What are agentic payments?
Payments initiated or executed by AI agents rather than a person clicking buttons. Today most real-world volume is agent-initiated disbursements: an agent sends money to people on a trigger, with a human setting the rules. That is the part Hoppier does in production.
How does Hoppier fit into agentic payments?
Hoppier is the controlled-disbursement layer: AI agents send gift cards and prepaid Visas to employees, customers, or research participants through the Hoppier MCP server or REST API, inside guardrails you set. Merchant restrictions, spend windows, amount caps, and unspent funds returning to your balance.
Why not just give an agent a company credit card?
A credit card has one control: the limit. A Hoppier card carries merchant category restrictions, a spend window, a per-person cap, and returns unspent funds. If an agent makes a bad call, the blast radius is a $25 lunch card that only works at restaurants this week, not an open line of credit.
Can an AI agent send money through Hoppier today?
Yes. The Hoppier MCP server is live: Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-capable assistants can create reward programs, add participants, and send top-ups using your authenticated account. A REST API for deeper integrations is in closed beta.
Which countries does it work in?
Recipients in 60+ countries can redeem in their local currency, choosing from 3,000+ gift card brands or a prepaid Visa.

The Hoppier MCP takes about two minutes to connect. Your agent's first program can be live before your coffee is cold.
